Richard P. Kaden is the partner in charge of
Creative Hotel Associates' development of
hotel properties. He was formerly senior vice president franchise operations and an officer of Choice Hotels International, overseeing franchise development, franchise services and product services as well as product management of the company's established brands: Comfort, Quality and EconoLodge. In these roles he was responsible for marketing franchises for all Choice brands to developers and hotel owners, as well as managing the nationwide force of franchise service and quality assurance representatives who are the primary liaison between Choice and its licensees. He also was responsible for providing furniture, fixtures and equipment, signage, interior design, and architectural services to Choice locations.
Rick joined Choice in 1993 as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Prior to joining Choice, he was executive director of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, a Baltimore law firm, where he was responsible for financial management, planning, human resources and administration. During his 27 years in the financial arena, Rick served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Manor Care Inc. and First Union National Bank of Florida, and worked for Price Waterhouse and Chemical Bank.
Kaden received his Master's degree in business administration
from Columbia Business School, New York City, and his bachelor's
degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J. He is a Certified
Public Accountant and a member of the Marylad Association
of Certified Public Accountants. |
