CREATIVE HOTEL ASSOCIATES BREAKS GROUND ON HAMPTON INN, RUTLAND, VT - 4th HOTEL IN VERMONT FOR GROUP

RUTLAND, VT - On November 9, 2005, Opechee Construction Corporation of Belmont, New Hampshire, broke ground on the Hampton Inn on Route 7 in Rutland, VT. The 47,350 square foot, 88-guest room, three-story hotel facility is being developed by Creative Hotel Associates (CHA) of Rockville, MD. The hotel is scheduled to open in the fall of 2006.

Jerry Petitt said "This is our fourth hotel in Vermont and we are happy to have such a major presence in the green mountain state. Rutland is a particularly attractive location for CHA because there has not been hotel development in the market for years and there is a great deal of pent-up demand for a first-class new hotel. We have a strong management group in New England including regional operations and marketing staff and as well as looking after our own properties will entertain third party managment agreements here also."

Guest amenities in the future Hampton Inn will include an indoor heated swimming pool, fitness room, breakfast/sitting area, guest laundry, two meeting/function rooms and a business center.
Some guest rooms include a microwave, coffeemaker, 27-inch cable TV, phones with data ports, voice mail and a mini refrigerator. The rooms are a mix of double queens and kings along with two guest room suites with fireplaces.

This is not the first teaming for CHA and Opechee. The two companies previously worked together on three successful hotel projects. The Courtyard by Marriott in Middlebury, VT and Comfort Suites in White River Junction, VT, were both completed in 2004. The Comfort Inn and Suites in Lincoln, NH, was completed in 1999. CHA is a developer, investor and manager of limited service hotels. CHA currently owns and manages 15 hotels in New England, Florida, the Rocky Mountains and the Southwest and undertakes third party management for others - www.creativehotels.com
